Greenhills School in Ann Arbor, MI, once again tapped us to design Forum Magazine, their vibrant and content-rich school magazine. After a successful design of the 2024 issue, the challenge this year was to build on that strong foundation—incorporating new design elements that had emerged since the previous issue—while continuing to create a bold, bright publication that reflects the school’s dynamic spirit. With abundant, engaging content and spectacular photography in hand, the goal was to deliver a magazine that felt both fresh and true to the Greenhills brand.
Strategy
We leaned into Greenhills School’s striking visual identity—greens and blues—while introducing updated design touches to keep the look evolving. Expansive, full-spread photography showcased the school’s people and programs, and generous spacing with clean, modern layouts kept each story clear and impactful. For the primary feature, we once again collaborated with an outside illustrator, guiding creative direction to produce a distinctive visual layer that set the story apart and reinforced the publication’s unique voice.
Impact
The 2025 Forum marks our second opportunity to design this fun and rewarding project, and the response from the Greenhills community has been as enthusiastic as ever. The updated layouts and bold, bright design have resonated with readers, further cementing the magazine as a dynamic reflection of the school’s voice, energy, and excellence.
NOTE: In some cases, photos have been replaced with stock imagery to preserve student privacy and content has been replaced with lorem ipsum.
