Capturing long-term impact for the Athenian School
Challenge
The Athenian School in Danville, CA wanted to create a powerful admissions video featuring alumni and alumni parents reflecting on the lasting impact of an Athenian education. Their goal was to highlight real outcomes and lifelong value through authentic, heartfelt storytelling. However, they were wary of the high costs and long production timelines quoted by traditional video agencies. They needed a partner who not only understood the unique rhythms of school marketing, but who could deliver a high-quality, emotionally resonant piece on a realistic budget and timeline.
Strategy
We partnered closely with Athenian’s communications and marketing team to shape a clear, strategic vision for the video. After aligning on interviewees and goals, we crafted a set of thoughtful questions designed to elicit authentic responses while guiding the narrative toward key themes. We scheduled in-person filming days to capture both the interviews and rich b-roll of campus life—ensuring the final piece would feel dynamic and grounded in the Athenian experience. From there, we wove the content into a cohesive, emotionally compelling storyline that brought both the voices and the visuals to life.
Impact
Today, the alumni outcomes video lives on Athenian’s website as a core part of their admissions marketing content strategy. It offers prospective families a powerful, personal window into the long-term value of an Athenian education, told directly by those who’ve seen it play out in their children’s lives. By focusing on authentic storytelling and thoughtful production, the video effectively showcases the “end result” of the Athenian experience, reinforcing the school’s promise and helping families envision what’s possible for their own children.
